BCU Centre of Excellence Award

BCU Centre of Excellence Award
Earlier this month, the School of Computing, Telecommunications and Networks at Birmingham City University (BCU), which is part of the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment, was presented with a Centre of Excellence Award for delivery of IT certifications.

This award is presented by Prodigy Learning to recognise exceptional performance in delivering internationally recognised IT certifications from industry leaders such as Adobe, Autodesk, HP and Microsoft.

Prodigy Learning awards Centre of Excellence status annually to a number of centres (academic institutions and private training providers) in the UK & Ireland to mark the delivery of over 250 IT certifications in the year.  Birmingham City University’s School of Computing, Telecommunications and Networks achieved this recognition through particular success with delivery of the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Certification Programme.

Craig Bewley (Director, Prodigy Learning) commented: “MTA continues to go from strength to strength in Birmingham City University.  It is a great credit to Rehan Bhana and his team that they received this award.  The University really recognises the value of Microsoft certification to employers.

Senior Academic Rehan Bhana commented: “We are delighted to have received the award from Prodigy Learning.  We have been working very closely with Prodigy for many years enabling our students for industry recognised certification that demonstrates skills and knowledge that employers want.
