Building on LMETB Regional Skills Training Centre receiving a Prodigy Learning Outstanding Centre of Excellence award in December 2014, LMETB Drogheda IT/Computer Training facility has become the latest recipient of the Prodigy Learning Centre of Excellence award, presented on Friday October 23, 2015.
This award is presented by Prodigy Learning to a small number of Training Centres (academic institutions and private training providers) in the UK & Ireland to recognise exceptional performance in delivering internationally recognised IT certifications from industry leaders such as Adobe, Autodesk and Microsoft.
Drogheda IT/Computer facility achieved this award in recognition of the high standard of training and certification delivered to and achieved by Learners. Over 250 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exams were taken by Learners in the Centre in the past year with a pass rate of greater than 80% seeing Learners earn qualifications from MOS Specialist to MOS Expert level.
This is one of many satellite training facilities throughout Louth & Meath which provides Learners with vital IT skills and qualifications for employment.
Speaking at the presentation, Andrew Flood (CEO, Prodigy Learning) said: “I’d like to congratulate LMETB and especially the Drogheda Centre team on this achievement. Microsoft Office Specialist certification provides learners with job-ready skills demanded by employers and the courses at the Centre have been very successful.”
