Prodigy Learning have been recognised for work around the world to deliver digital equity and opportunities to young learners through their Coding in Minecraft computer science credential program.

The international e-Assessment Awards recognise excellence and are an opportunity to showcase globally the very best practice, research and innovation in testing and assessment, where the use of technology has enabled transformation, improved outcomes and enhanced learning and teaching.

These annual awards share and celebrate the many excellent projects from around the world that demonstrate the value that technology brings to high quality assessment. Organised by the e-Assessment Association, a not-for-profit membership association and supported by the British Council as the Headline Sponsor, the International e-Assessment Awards invited applications from organisations worldwide including test publishers, academic institutions, awarding organisations, researchers and technology providers working within the assessment industry.

Commenting on the announcement, Prodigy Learning Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Flood, said: “Our Coding in Minecraft credential programme has gone from strength to strength in the international market this last year, surpassing all expectations. We set ourselves some tough targets across 2022 to deliver digital equity in coding to learners across the globe and I am overjoyed that we have received this shortlisting as recognition for our work.

Matt Wingfield, Chief Executive of the e-Assessment Association said, “We are delighted to present the finalists for this year’s e-Assessment Awards, yet again demonstrating the level of innovation, research and rigour which is driving change in the industry globally. The past few years have seen the greatest advance not only in the uptake of organisations switching to use some form of online assessments, but also a recognition that both learning and assessment can be enhanced by embracing digital technology.”
