Launch of TechElevate with MTA

Dublin, Ireland based Digital Skills Academy today launched its digital technology programme TechElevate for eligible jobseekers in Cork, Dublin and Limerick.   The programme has been specifically designed to help eligible jobseekers gain ICT industry-recognised certification.

It combines Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certifications, designed to validate core technical knowledge and enhance technical credibility, with Digital Skills Academy certification accredited by Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). TechElevate also provides a 12 week work placement within an ICT company to help participants break into career roles such as web developer, cloud systems and network administrator, IT Technical Sales Executive and IT Project Manager.

This full-time training programme is in its second run, with the first run resulting in a 65% success rate in returning participants to the workplace within four months of completing the programme. The course is an on-campus blended learning programme delivered over 32 weeks.

Kevin Marshall (Head of Education, Microsoft Ireland) commented: “It is essential that graduates all over Ireland have access to ways of upskilling to meet the demands of this growing industry sector.  We are delighted to be working with Digital Skills Academy, Prodigy Learning and DIT to bring Microsoft Certification to graduates in Cork, Limerick and Dublin.”

Paul Dunne (CEO, Digital Skills Academy) said, “We continue to develop upskilling programmes in digital technology with partners like Microsoft and Prodigy Learning to help graduates and job seekers meet the increasing certification requirements within the ICT sector.  We are delighted to be bringing this programme to Cork, Limerick and Dublin, ensuring the ICT opportunities within these regions can be met locally.”

Andrew Flood (Director, Prodigy Learning) said: “Microsoft Certifications remain one of the methods by which IT professionals and developers stand out from their peers and are recognised by employers all over the world.  This ensures TechElevate graduates will be in demand with industry at home and abroad.”
