Earlier this year, Microsoft and Certiport announced the availability of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2013, the next generation of the world’s most recognised information worker certification programme. Over the past few months since the launch of MOS 2013, we have highlighted the advances in the MOS 2013 performance-based testing (exciting new project exam type) and the changes to the Expert level exams for 2013.
Publishers are now starting to release MOS 2013 Learning Solutions. Detailed below are some of the Solutions available from Prodigy Learning for MOS 2013.
Books for MOS 2013
CCI Learning Certification Guides are available now for MOS 2013 Word Core, Excel Core, PowerPoint and Outlook. In the coming months books will be released for MOS 2013 Access (October 2013), Word – Expert (by Q1 2014) and Excel – Expert (by Q1 2014). All of these Certification Guides are available from Prodigy Learning in the UK & Ireland in print and also by Electronic Site License (ESL).
Microsoft Official Academic Course (MOAC) titles published by Wiley are available now for MOS 2013 Word and Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook and Access titles are due by the end of this calendar year. Prodigy Learning distributes Wiley’s Tech Portfolio (including MOAC) in the UK & Ireland, with these MOAC titles available to our customers in print and eBook formats at exclusive prices.
GMetrix Practice Tests for MOS 2013
GMetrix Practice Tests (incorporating Skills Analysis and Online Learning features) are now available for MOS 2013 Word Core, Excel Core and PowerPoint incorporating the traditional training mode as well as a practice test in the new “project format” testing mode replicating the new exam format. Tests for MOS 2013 Outlook and Access are expected in October with Word Expert and Excel Expert due by the end of the calendar year.
Please note, customers wishing to use GMetrix for MOS 2013 must install and use the new GMetrix SMS v4 client to access these new tests. Customers using MOS 2010 or MOS 2007 tests should continue to use GMetrix SMS v3.
LearnKey Video Training for MOS 2013
LearnKey Video Training is now available for MOS 2013 Word Core, Excel Core and PowerPoint. MOS 2013 Outlook and Access are scheduled for release in 2014.
Learning Kits from Prodigy Learning for MOS 2013
Classroom Learning Kits and Self-Start Learning Kits are the complete MOS learning solution, bundling a Book, Practice Test and Exam Voucher + Free Retake for one low price. Prodigy Learning will release Learning Kits for MOS 2013 in the coming months when products to support the full range of MOS 2013 certifications are available. At this point, this is expected to be in early 2014.
