Today, Prodigy Learning is delighted to launch the MOS UK & IE Championship 2021. Entry is now open for all students across the UK & Ireland to become a MOS UK & Ireland Champion and win the chance to represent their country competing at the MOS World Championship Final!
What is the MOS UK & IE Championship?
The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship is a global competition that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office applications, operated and sponsored in the UK and Ireland by Prodigy Learning. Over 30,000 student entrants across the UK & Ireland compete in the MOS UK & IE Championship by passing a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Exam each year. Three Champions (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) will beat 30 top finalists at the MOS UK & Ireland Championship final and win the opportunity to compete at the MOS World Championship Final!
How to take part & qualify?
To participate, eligible students* must first take, and pass, a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exam in Excel, PowerPoint or Word in the entry rounds below:
WIN an X-Box in Fast Track Round – Nov 23rd until Dec 4th, 2020
Win an X-Box to give to one of your learners by delivering the highest number of MOS Certification Exams from Nov 23rd – Dec 4th.
- UK & Ireland: 3 students (one in each category) secure place in the June 2021 virtual final.
Winter Round – Sept 1st until Dec 31st, 2020
- UK: 6 students (two in each category) secure place in the June 2021 virtual final.
- Ireland: 3 students (one in each category) secure place in the June 2021 virtual final.
Summer Round – Jan 4th until May 28th, 2021
- UK: 9 students (three in each category) secure place in the June 2021 virtual final.
- Ireland: 3 students (one in each category) secure place in June 2021 virtual final.

What to expect at the MOS UK & IE Championship Virtual Final?
The top 30 students from across the UK & Ireland who secure their places from the entry rounds will be invited to take a final MOS Certification Exam at the virtual final in June 2021. At the virtual final, three champions (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) will be crowned using the top score method.
If scores are tied, then the time taken will be taken into consideration and the highest score with the quickest time will determine the MOS UK & IE Champions. Winners will be announced in an awards ceremony at the MOS UK & IE Championship Virtual Final!
What is the GRAND PRIZE?
The Grand Prize for each of the three MOS UK & IE Champions will be the opportunity to represent the UK & IE and compete and prove their Microsoft Office Digital Skills on a global stage at the MOS World Championship Final!
COVID-19
The MOS UK & Ireland Championship Final is one of the most exciting events in Prodigy Learning’s calendar year. Despite COVID-19, we successfully crowned the MOS UK & Ireland Champions in 2020 via a virtual final. Prodigy Learning is excited to celebrate the best of the best digital skills and crown the 2021 MOS UK & Ireland Champions via a virtual final in June.

To compete in the final round of the Championship, students must be enrolled in an approved, accredited learning institution and be 13 to 22 years of age (as of June 15, 2021). UK & Ireland Champions must be available to travel to the USA from London in specified MOS World Championship Final 2021 dates.
