As a run-up to the MOS Four Nations Championship Finals day on Tuesday 13th June we are going to get to know our finalists a little better – today we’ll take a closer look at our Wales MOS4N Finalists.
The first “Spotlight” is on Eleri Evans (pictured centre-left) from Tonypandy Community College. Eleri is the PowerPoint Finalist representing Wales.
- Describe yourself in 3 words?
“Positive, energetic, caring.” - What do you like to do in your spare time?
“I like to play netball and going out with my friends.” - What’s your favourite bit of technology, and why?
“My phone… because I like to be able to communicate and take photos too.” - Who’s your role model, and why?
“I don’t have any main role models really!” - Who’s your favourite musician?
“The Vamps.” - What’s the best bit of advice you’ve been given, and by who?
“Live life to the fullest – my mother” - What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in life so far?
“Hard I know but not to worry about what anyone else thinks!” - Which personal achievements are you most proud of?
“Being part of the schools well achieving netball team and winning both the league and tournament – undefeated!” - What are your career aspirations?
“I’m not sure what I want to do when l ’m older – but I definitely would want a job I enjoy.” - What’s your personal motto?

Next is Sam Conboy (pictured centre), from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Sam is the Excel Finalist representing Wales.

“Not given to me personally, but the quote ‘There is no problem so bad that you can’t make it worse’ from Astronaut Chris Hadfield” - What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt in life so far?
“That no matter how difficult things are, how tough you find it, there is always a way through, and it can only get better from there.” - Which personal achievements are you most proud of?

Last, but certainly not least, is Matthew Davies (pictured centre-right) from Treorchy Comprehensive School. Matthew is the Word Finalist representing Wales.

Clam, Quiet, Hardworking - What do you like to do in your spare time?
“I like to play video games, pick up new hardware by reading about it and trying to code in python.” - What’s your favourite bit of technology, and why?
“This would be the virtual reality headset, as I believe that this is a cool innovative bit of technology that can be used in other fields – other than gaming, to help teach people such as doctors learning how to operate on patients.” - Who’s your role model, and why?
“Alan Turing, as he faced many great difficulties during his time such as people ignoring him and his work, even to the point of bullying him for the work. Including being prosecuted for his sexuality, which still didn’t stop him for continuing his work on computers.” - Who’s your favourite musician?
“Joakim Brodén ,the lead singer form Sabaton. They are a rock band that mainly focuses on past history.” - What’s the best bit of advice you’ve been given, and by who?
“To think about everything in a logical step by step processes to find out what’s missing – My Father” - What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt in life so far?
“To always take everything at face value and not try and overthink it.” - Which personal achievements are you most proud of?
“Achieving good GCSE grades in the three sciences, Math and ICT and learning and using Python” - What are your career aspirations?
