In January we announced two new Microsoft Technology Associate exams: MTA Windows Devices and Mobility Fundamentals and MTA Cloud Fundamentals. The exams went live January 5, 2015 and are designed to better support the core IT Infrastructure area of study.

These exam retirements and replacements are designed to ensure that the MTA certifications remain current with technology advances and relevant to high-demand industry career tracks.
If an exam that is part of a certification you earned is retired, your certification is still valid. When an exam you passed is retired, the exam record remains on your transcript.If you’re working toward a certification that includes one of the exams listed for retirement, please be sure to take the exam prior to the retirement date. Allow time for a retake if necessary.
