New College Lanarkshire (NCLAN) in Scotland introduced the Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certifications in the Academic Year 2013/14 to all Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Computer Aided Draughting and Design, HNC/D Computer Aided architectural Design and Technology and HNC/D 3D Animation students. The College experienced great success with the programme and recently presented certificates to the students.
Barry Skea, Curriculum Leader at NCLAN was delighted to see the determination of the students to pass the Autodesk Certified User exams, stating: “There is a significant need from industry for highly skilled and capable CAD specialist, having an Autodesk qualification on your CV will only enhance your value to industry”.
Craig Bewley (Director, Prodigy Learning) said: “NCLAN are focused on providing their students with the skills and qualifications that employers are looking for. Autodesk’s ACU certification ticks all the boxes for both the students and the college. We are delighted it is going so well.”
