The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) World Championship is a global competition that identifies and honours the next generation of design professionals using Adobe software.
In 2017 one student will win the trip of a lifetime to represent the UK & Ireland at the final round of the Championship at Disneyland, California in July.
This is the fifth year of the ACA World Championship which has already seen great participation from across the UK & Ireland. In 2016 finalists from universities around the UK & Ireland competed at the ACA World Championship UK & Ireland Final. Lily Wilson from Hornsea School was crowned 2016 UK & Ireland Champion and represented the region at the ACA World Championship Final in Orlando, Florida.

The UK & Ireland Champion will win the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland, California and the chance to compete for the World Championship (with a top prize $7,000 USD)! Visit the ACA World Championship website for details.
To participate*, students must first take and pass a qualifying Adobe Certified Associate Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator exam in one of the two Qualifying Rounds to be eligible for invitation to the UK & Ireland Final.
First Qualifying Round (October 1, 2016 - December 31, 2016) 10 students from around the UK & Ireland will be chosen using the "top-score method" (highest exam score and lowest exam-taking time) to qualify for the UK & Ireland Final in June 2017.
Second Qualifying Round (January 1, 2017 - May 15, 2017) 10 students from around the UK & Ireland will be chosen using the "top-score method" (highest exam score and lowest exam-taking time) to qualify for the UK & Ireland Final in June 2017.
UK & Ireland Final (June 2017) The UK & Ireland Final will bring together the 20 finalists (selected in the two Qualifying Rounds) at the Design Museum in London in June 2017 to determine the UK & Ireland Champion. The event will see finalists compete in a design challenge where they will be given instructions, project requirements, and assets to complete a real–world design challenge using Adobe Creative Cloud software. The UK & Ireland Champion will be determined based on an evaluation of the finalists work. Read about the 2016 Final here.

To compete in the final round of the Championship, students must be enrolled in an approved, accredited learning institution and be 13 to 22 years of age (as of June 15, 2017). UK & Ireland Champion must be available to travel to California from July 30th to August 2nd 2017.
