as the ACA World Championship 2017 UK & Ireland Champion. Having produced the winning poster in a design challenge for charity Childhood Eye Cancer Trust
, Tom has won the trip of a lifetime (sponsored by Prodigy Learning) to represent the region and compete at the final round of the World Championship in California.

is a global competition that identifies and honours the next generation of design professionals using Adobe software.
20 finalists from further and higher education around the UK & Ireland competed at the ACA World Championship UK & Ireland Final, hosted at the Design Museum
in London. The event saw finalists compete in a design challenge where they were given instructions, project requirements, and assets to complete a real–world design challenge for Childhood Eye Cancer Trust using Adobe Creative Cloud
on Microsoft Surface
The finalists had achieved the highest scores in the Adobe Certified Associate certification exams this year in the region. Tom’s winning artwork will now be used by Childhood Eye Cancer Trust in the coming months to promote their activities.
Second Place in the design challenge was awarded to Jonathan Pryke
(University of Westminster) who won a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Callum Bedward-Brooks
(Coventry University) secured Third Place and won a Wacom Graphics Tablet.
(Communications Manager, Childhood Eye Cancer Trust) said: “We were delighted to be chosen as the charity partner for this competition and were hugely impressed with the talent demonstrated by all of the finalists. We saw some outstanding designs for our 30th anniversary event programme; every design was different and it was really hard to pick a winner!
“Tom’s design stood out to us as the one that, not only best represented our brand but also, captured the spirit of the event. We are excited to use Tom’s programme design for our event and wish him the very best of luck for the Adobe World Finals
(CEO, Prodigy Learning) added: “The ACA Championship Final is a highlight in our year. We were delighted to support Childhood Eye Cancer Trust while also giving real-world experience using Adobe Creative Cloud to a very talented group of design students. We would like to thank everyone who took part and congratulate the finalists on a great achievement. We wish Tom the best of luck at the World Championship!
