Prodigy Learning has worked with academic, corporate and public sector customers across the UK & Ireland to offer internationally recognised IT certifications to their students and staff. Our Success Stories highlight a selection of the organisations that we have worked with in recent years.


The NHS, the largest employer in Europe, worked with Prodigy Learning to create a MOS certification programme to raise standards and productivity. A survey of over 2,000 learners showed 90% of staff increased productivity!


De Montfort University (DMU) has played a key role in the launch of the new HP Institute - an academic programme that will provide students with the business-ready IT skills that are in deficit within the industry.

Southway Housing - (IC3)

Southway Housing - (IC3)
Southway Housing are a committed and forward-thinking not-for-profit local housing company based in Didsbury South Manchester. They are passionate about providing excellent homes and outstanding customer care as well as developing sustainable communities and helping tenants get the best life chances.

Southway own and manage almost 6,000 homes across Burnage, Chorlton, Didsbury and Withington, having taken over these homes from Manchester City Council in 2007 following a ballot among council tenants.

Digital Skills & Certifications Initiative
In June 2018 Southway Housing will move into a State of the Art head office in West Didsbury to help support their continued growth and provide the best customer experience in the industry. To coincide with the move and to continue their support for both staff and tenants, Southway Housing are launching a Digital Skills and certification initiative.

The initiative will include training and certification in the globally recognised IC3 Digital Literacy qualification. Those participating in the new initiative will be provided with a comprehensive online video training course, practice tests and a final exam. Successful candidates will be able to prove their digital skills and develop a foundation of knowledge needed to succeed in environments which require the use of computers and internet. 

Value of Digital Skills
Mary Lindsey (ICT Trainer, Southway Housing) commented “As part of our commitment to our staff and tenants, we have decided to offer IC3 to help equip our tenants with the digital skills they need in today’s digital world. As organisations such as our own move more and more online it is vital that all our tenants benefit from this. We want to ensure that our tenants have the best chance to succeed, from having the digital skills to pay bills such as rent online to having digital skills which are highly demanded by employer’s in today’s competitive workplace.”

Joe Sandwick, Manager of Southway’s Over 50’s Digital Inclusion Project said “We are very excited to launch this program for our tenants, particularly with our older tenants who often feel excluded or marginalized with the relentless march online. By completing an IC3 certification older tenants will benefit from something as simple as being able to keep in touch with relatives and friends which can be of enormous importance and often taken for granted by younger, digitally savvy people.”

As an organisation that is committed to developing sustainable communities in which people feel part of and valued, we feel that it is important to give something back to our communities.”

I myself will be taking the certification once the dust settles on our current office move.”
